Maracanã Stadium Tour
About This Tour
Step inside the legendary Maracanã Stadium with a ticket that provides access to the most iconic areas of one of the world’s great soccer venues. This experience is ideal for travelers from the United States, Canada and around the world who want to explore the history of Brazil’s most popular sport.
the experience takes place inside the officially named Jornalista Mário Filho Stadium, which has hosted World Cup finals, Olympic events, international matches and some of the most important moments in soccer history.
During the visit, explore the Maracanã historical collection, featuring objects connected to legendary players. Highlights include items donated by Zico, the number 7 Brazilian national-team jersey worn by Mané Garrincha during the 1962 World Cup and memorabilia associated with Pelé’s 1,000th career goal.
The tour provides access to areas normally reserved for players, coaches and members of the media, including the locker rooms, warm-up room and press conference room.
One of the most exciting parts of the experience is following the route used by players toward the pitch-side area. You can also sit on the players’ bench, visit the stands and take memorable photographs near the field.
The Maracanã was constructed for the 1950 FIFA World Cup and later renovated for major sporting events, including the 2014 World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Its history has made it one of the most recognizable stadiums in the world.
This ticket does not provide admission to a soccer match. It is a sightseeing visit to the stadium’s facilities and does not include transportation, so visitors must make their own way to the designated entrance.
