Historic Birthplace of Paris

Discover where Paris began with this fascinating experience that combines a guided walking tour of Île de la Cité with a comprehensive Notre-Dame audio guide. This tour is ideal for visitors who want to explore the historical heart of Paris while learning about its rich heritage.

Led by a professional guide, you'll walk through Île de la Cité, the ancient island where Paris was founded more than 2,000 years ago. Along the way, you'll learn how this neighborhood shaped the development of the French capital and became one of its most important historical districts.

The tour includes detailed commentary about the exterior of Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the most famous Gothic monuments in the world. You'll discover its history, architecture, and restoration efforts following the 2019 fire.

You'll also pass by landmarks such as Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciergerie, the Flower Market, and the banks of the Seine River. After the guided portion, continue exploring independently using the Paris City Vision smartphone audio guide dedicated to Notre-Dame.
